Con-way Freight Achieves Record Two Million Accident-Free Miles
Professional Truck Driver James Coveney Joins List of 13 Con-way Drivers
ANN ARBOR, Mich., and DENVER, Colo. - March 19, 2007
Con-way Freight, a less-than-truckload (LTL) freight carrier and subsidiary of Con-way Inc.(NYSE: CNW), today announced that driver James Coveney has achieved his two millionth accident-free mile. In a ceremony to be held this month at the company's Denver, Colo., service center, Coveney will be honored for safely logging two million miles between April 11, 1990 and Feb. 10, 2007. Coveney joins a list of only 13 Con-way drivers to achieve this career milestone. Two million miles represents more than 4,700 trips on his typical route between Denver, Colo., and Wamsutter, Wyo.

A native of Tracy, Calif., Coveney has been a driver for Con-way Freight for 17 years and has 27 years total driving experience. Coveney resides in Parker, Colo., with his wife of 25 years, Wanda and has two children, Tara, 21, and James, 19. In his time off, James is an avid bass fisherman and also enjoys Colorado big game hunting.
