Con-way Inc. Reports Second-Quarter 2008 Results
July 23, 2008 - Con-way Inc. (NYSE:CNW) today reported net income from continuing operations for the second quarter of 2008 of $47.1 million (after preferred stock dividends), or 98 cents per diluted share. The results compared to second-quarter 2007 net income from continuing operations (after preferred stock dividends) of $47.7 million, or 99 cents per diluted share.
Con-way Truckload Names Two New Regional Sales Managers
July 15, 2008 - Con-way Truckload, a full-truckload carrier and subsidiary of Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW), today announced that Jeff Pfeifer and Paul Stefaniuk have joined the company as regional sales managers. In the position, Pfeifer will be responsible for growing the company's customer base in the Pacific Northwest, while Stefaniuk will focus on developing new business engagements in Western New York, Quebec and Ontario.
Con-way Inc. Achieves Highest Score for Fuel Efficiency and Environmental Performance for 2007 under EPA's SmartWay Transport Partnership
July 10, 2008 - Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW) today announced that its three primary operating companies, Con-way Freight, Con-way Truckload and Menlo Worldwide Logistics, received the highest fuel efficiency and environmental performance score for 2007 from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) SmartWayTM Transport Partnership.
