Con-way Completes Acquisition of Contract Freighters, Inc.
August 23, 2007 - Con-way Inc. (NYSE:CNW) today announced that it has completed its $750 million acquisition of Contract Freighters, Inc. (CFI), a privately held North American truckload carrier based in Joplin, Mo. The acquisition adds to Con-way’s portfolio a respected, well-managed company with significant market share and a substantial presence in the truckload market with its 3,000 employees and a fleet of more than 2,600 tractors and 7,000 trailers.

Menlo Worldwide Selected as Prime Contractor for U.S. Transportation Command's Defense Transportation Coordination Initiative (DTCI)
August 17, 2007 - Menlo Worldwide, the third-party logistics services provider of Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW), confirmed today that its subsidiary Menlo Worldwide Government Services, LLC was selected as prime contractor for the Defense Transportation Coordination Initiative (DTCI). DTCI is a strategic logistics program directed by the Department of Defense U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) to streamline and improve domestic transportation and distribution operations supporting warfighters at all four branches of the U.S. military.

August 06, 2007 - Menlo Worldwide's logistics centre in Sydney, Australia has been certified as ISO 9001 compliant. Auditors awarded the international quality certificate for the facility following a 'zero non-conformance' rating.
